Mixing

The aim of this plugin is to give users an idea what happens to a normalised image if certain elements in the dataset are replaced or removed. This is done in combination with RCA.

Theory

The plugin uses the weights from an RCA to build a normalised file. During this rebuild it can be chosen to replace certain vectors with others or delete them. The normalised file is build by multiplying the reference vectors with there weights. After this it can be choosen to add the error of the RCA to the new file. This gives the original file if no reference vectors are changed.

Using the plugin

  1. Load up the plugin by selecting the RCA file.
  2. Fill in the filename and choose the reference vectors that will be used for reconstruction.
  3. Run the algorithm and the output is saved and can be visualised with the normal visualisation plugin.

Remarks

  • When using the plugin make sure the normalised and Ref Files that were used for the RCA still exist or do not use the missing file(s).
  • Using the error slows down the plugin quite a bit.
  • Don’t use reference vectors called “Error” or “Delete”. Those names er reserved for the plugin.
